Water is Life Fundraiser

"Another kind of love and compassion is not based on something appearing beautiful or nice, but based on the fact that the other person, just like oneself, wants happiness and does not want suffering and indeed has every right to be happy and to overcome suffering. On such a basis, we feel a sense of responsibility, a sense of closeness toward that being. That is true compassion. This is because the compassion is based on reason, notjust on emotional feeling. As a consequence, it does not matter what the other's attitude is, whether negative, or positive. What matters is that it is a human being, a sentient being that has the experience of pain and pleasure. There is no reason not to feel compassion so long as it is a sentient being."

Kindness Goes A Long Way!!

So funny story, tonight I had a craving for some Chinese food from my favorite little take out place. It was a bit late so in case I caught them at closing time I brought a 4 oz. bag of my Keenum China Panda Black Tea to give them. Well I gave it to the guy at the front desk taking the order and within 2 seconds the owner and 2 chefs were out there to look. When they realized that I brought them tea the owner motioned to me to wait a sec. He came back with an old pickle jar that had tea in it. Well he popped the top off and to my surprise it was some of the finest black tea I have ever laid eyes on. I asked one of the workers there who spoke English to ask the man where he got this tea, and his reply was "my mother has a small tea farm in China and she HAND PICKS and Rolls her own tea!!! Well needless to say she harvests in March and I have committed to at least 10 lbs.

Because of a small bit of kindness and a little desperation to get some good Chinese food, I acquired a contact in China that has some of the finest and rare Black tea I have ever seen. Moral of the story.......Well I am sure you already know....Thanks for reading.

Lets play Catch up!

The last several months we have been busy, busy! Thank you to all of our fellow 'tea junkies' who so graciously helped saved the lives of many children over the holidays! We hope our tea was truly a relaxing holiday gift for you, your friends, and co-workers.
In November, Ken from the Water is Life Foundation was able to make a trip to Africa to deliver 1,000 filtered straws to the children there! It was great getting to talk with him and hearing the impact these straws had on those families!!! I am heading over to Africa with Ken in March of this year and we are trying to raise 3,000 straws to give to the Water is Life Foundation to help contribute to their 10,000 straw goal! I can't wait for my journey there and I will definately update you when I return!
Until then...
Live Forever, Today!
